Notarizing a USA document in Canada?

I live in Canada and have a diploma that was earned in Ohio. I need to have a photocopy of my diploma apostilled for teaching in Korea. If the photocopy is notarized in Canada, will the Ohio Secretary of State accept and apostille it, or will I have to take the photocopy to the US notary in Vancouver or take a trip to a notary in the USA?
